On October the 8th, I’ll be jetting off to Dubai to learn more about the key technology trends that could be changing the world over the coming years. GITEX is a week of game-changing innovative experiences, located in Dubai – the fastest growing hub of worldwide technology.
For nearly four decades, tech pioneers around the globe have been visiting GITEX to witness some of the latest innovations that could shape the future of digital transformation, and influence the way we communicate forever. Since I’ll be joining those visionaries this year, I thought I’d let you know why I think you should join me for the ride.
Exploring the Future at GITEX
Every year, GITEX attracts over four thousand exhibitors, along with 147,133 attendees from 97 different countries around the world. In other words, it’s basically a hub of excitement for anyone who’s interested in technology. In 2017, GITEX will be teaming up with the world’s greatest innovators once again, to deliver a first-hand view into the tech that will be changing the face of future business.
From their “Future Tech” hall, the organisation will be giving attendees an incredible journey, throughout some of the latest sci-fi updates, and what we might be able to expect as we move ahead into a marketplace saturated by things like AI, the Internet of Things, and virtual reality.
Essentially, the purpose of “GITEX Technology week” is to combine hundreds of events taking place across a week of innovation and growth. There are seventeen specialist technology sectors to explore including:
- AR and VR
- 3D Printing
- Smart Cities
- Internet of Things
- Network Infrastructure and Security
- Smart Manufacturing
The “Vertical Day Conferences”
Perhaps one of the most unique elements of the GITEX Technology Week is the fact that they pack so much information into a single week of conferences and speeches. “Vertical Days” are the GITEX solution for teaching attendees about the possibilities of future tech for different verticals, including:
- Smart Manufacturing
In 2017, the “week” of vertical days have been expanded to ten whole days of innovative speeches and conferences with some of the world-leaders in tech development. For instance, Monday the 9th of October will feature information on Marketing and Healthcare, while Wednesday the 11th of October will cover Smart Cities, Education, and Retail.
There are countless sectors to explore, and many incredible keynotes to hear from, including Siim Sikkut, Olivier Oullier, and Ian Khan.
Celebrating Technology with GITEX
Over the years, GITEX has become a global hub for technology talent, gathering some of the biggest names in the world for innovation and entrepreneurship. For 2017, GITEX will be launching 24 new awards celebrated on the 10th of October and intended to recognise the high achievers in the industry.
Whether you’re looking for exhilarating how-to sessions packed with incredible insights and insider views into the current industry, or you simply want to explore the possibilities of your chosen marketplace, there are plenty of ways to learn and grow at GITEX. If you haven’t attended yet, I recommend you add this place to your bucket list!
